Richemont wächst zweistellig

Der Boom bei den Luxusgütern hält weiter an: Richemont ist im ersten Quartal 2023/24 (per 30. Juni) erneut zweistellig gewachsen. Dabei lief erneut das Schmuckgeschäft sehr stark.
Der Gruppenumsatz stieg in der Zeit von April bis Juni 2023 um 14% auf 5,322 Mrd. €, wie der Hersteller von Luxusuhren der Marken wie Piaget oder IWC sowie teurem Schmuck von Cartier und Van Cleef & Arpels am Montag mitteilte. In Lokalwährungen gerechnet betrug das Plus 19%.
Dabei trug erneut das Schmuckgeschäft am stärksten zum Wachstum bei. Dort stiegen die Verkäufe im ersten Quartal zu konstanten Wechselkursen um 24% auf 3,599 Mrd. €. Aber auch das Uhrengeschäft wuchs mit 10% auf 1,061 Mrd. € deutlich.
Insgesamt hat Richemont die Analystenerwartungen damit aber leicht verfehlt.
Alle Regionen bis auf die Region Amerika, wo der Umsatz organisch um 2,0% sank, konnten den Absatz steigern. Dabei legte die grösste Region Asien-Pazifik mit einem Wachstum von 40% dank einer starken Erholung nach der Coronapandemie am meisten zu. Dahinter folgten der Nahe Osten/Afrika (+15%), Japan (+14%) und Europa (+11%).
Als wichtigster Vertriebskanal erwies sich der Absatz über den Detailhandel, der organisch um 24% zulegte und damit gut zwei Drittel zum Gesamtmmsatz beitrug. Über den Grosshandel nahm Richemont gut ein Viertel ein (organ. +11%). Dagegen stagnierte der Online-Absatz mit lediglich 298 Mio. € (+2%) nahezu.
Der Bereich YOOX NET-A-PORTER (YNAP), der als «Held for sale» ausgewiesen wird, verzeichnete einen Umsatzrückgang von 8%.
Die Nettoliquidität des Konzerns bezifferte Richemont per 30. Juni 2023 auf 6,6 Mrd. € nach 5,4 Mrd. € Ende 2022. Darin spiegelten sich die starken Umsätze im Berichtsquartal, heisst es dazu.
Zu den weiteren Aussichten äusserte sich der Konzern wie üblich nicht. Einen konkreten Ausblick auf das Geschäftsjahr gibt Richemont üblicherweise nicht ab.
